The Nanobiotechnology Center is active in forming partnerships with a wide range of organisations in academia, education, government, industry and other fields. These relationships are vital to ensure that the results of new research, techniques and processes are communicated to external groups and effectively applied for commercial development. Each year, the Center sponsors a symposium to highlight the progress of the nanobiotechnology research groups, strengthen existing ties and generate new partnerships.

The Nanobiotechnology Center's growing list of industrial partners includes national publicly traded companies as well as start-up firms. Relationships between the center and its' industrial partners are unique, and depend upon the needs and interests of the partners. Some partners, for example, value the window they have on developments within the center. Others are more inclined to seek out collaborations with specific faculty members and their graduate students, and to attend symposia on the latest research.

The Center works closely with the Cornell Center for Technology, Enterprise & Commercialization to ensure that knowledge created by our research can be transformed for successful economic development. NBTC members also work with companies specializing in marketing and developing university originated technologies, such as Innovative Biotechnologies International, Inc. and the KensaGroup.

Opportunities for licensing from the Center's other sites can be found at their web pages or by checking with the Association of Univeristy Technology Managers.
